Card Patterns #88 - Thank You

The people who work for me gave me an awesome gift card to Craft Warehouse for Bosses Day! I made a couple different thank you's for them! Thanks for looking!

2 Sketches 4 You - Kazan's Sketch #44

I made a couple cards using Kazan's sketch!

The first one is a thank you card for a gal who made our executive team a great lunch! I used my new "From My Kitchen" cricut cartridge to do it!

The 2nd one is a thank you card (I'm actually making 22 of them) for a project team. I used the cricut gypsy font and shapes to do it. I really liked the way Kazan did the button on her card and I tried to do it similar to that.
Thanks for looking!

Pink Elephant Challenge #50 - 2 cards!!!

This was really a fun challenge for me and I needed to make some cards so it was perfect! I made 2 using the sketch!

A friend of mine is having surgery tomorrow so I made this get well card. The patterned paper is from Making Memories Chloe's closet (I've been hoarding that paper and decided I better start using it!). The bird cage and get well are from my new cricut cartridge "songbird." Very cute and perfect for a get well card!

The 2nd one is the one I made 4 of for my birthday gift thank yous. My birthday was last week! The paper is Basic Grey Sultry. I used my new cricut cartridge "sentimentals" for this one. Very fun, very "blingy."
I'm working on a bunch of thank you's using the word "merci" and the 2 sketches 4 you sketch so I hope to post more later this week!

Kazan's Sketch #40 (2S4Y), Card Patterns 42 and 43

I'm very last minute, but here is my take on Kazan's Sketch #40 over at 2 Sketches 4 You. I used scraps to do this so it was very fun! The Thanks is from Cricut Beyond Birthdays and So Much is from Cricut Don Juan. The parens are from Cricut George. The little medallion is a Wilton Favor I found in the wedding aisle at Michaels!

I'm always in need of Thank You's so I also made a thank you for Card Patterns Sketch #43 (I'm ahead on this one!). I also used scraps. It feels so good to use some up!

And last but not least is a card that I started for Card Patterns #42 before the deadline but didn't finish until after. I thought it turned out cute so I still wanted to post it!

I hope everyone had a happy turkey day! I've got turkey enchiladas in the oven as I write this!

Take care and have a nice rest of the weekend!

Card patterns #35 - A couple "purple" cards

I had 2 cards to make for work this week so I used Card Patterns #35 to do it. Both of the gals love purple so here they are!

The paper was all from my stash! The Happy Birthday was cut from the cricut Lyrical Letters cartridge and the thank you from Beyond Birthdays. Photo corners (on thank you) and the swirl are quickutz.

The buttons were reflections (from Michael's) ~ I really love patterned buttons as they add so much!

Well off to work I go soon!

2 Challenges In One ~ Thank You Card

For this card, I combined the Use It #16 Challenge with the Card Patterns #21 Sketch!
The Use It #16 Challenge was brought to us by Kay Sibley and was to be:
**Polka Dots (check, check ~ got lots of polka dots going on here!)
**Something from Nature (check, check ~ turtles and flowers)
**Favorite Embellishment (check ~ I have lots of faves but I love stacking flowers right now and putting a button on them! I also love die cuts with the cricut so the thank you is from the Beyond Birthdays cartridge)
**Send it to someone special (this will go to my parents who had my kids visit for a little over a week ~ I think it is great for my kids to get to know their grandparents but it still is hard to be patient when you haven't had kids around for quite awhile!)
And, for extra points I actually "found" both of these cool papers as I've been going through and reorganizing my scrap area! You wouldn't believe all the cool things I've found! I shouldn't have to shop for a long time (but will I???? Maybe I should Use It more often!).

Card Patterns #11, A Cutting Cafe Card, and a Card for Administrative Assistant's Day

My first card is using the Card Patterns Sketch #11. I got this cool mother's day bingo card from thefrugalcrafter.wordpress.com (see her 3/16/09 post for a link to these cool spring bingo cards). My mother loves purple so I pulled out some very old Rob and Bob paper that I got at Michael's for the card (almost my own use it challenge!). I cut the bracket from the cricut storybook cartridge and the heart and I love you from the cricut lyrical letters cartridge. Then I added some bling! And there you go - I did the challenge and I've got my mother's day card done!

This second card is for Sue, my executive assistant ~ Wednesday 4/22 is administrative assistant's day. I'm glad I looked at the internet for the date! I might have missed it. The paper is all basic grey. I cut the hibiscus frame from the cricut storybook cartridge and the youre simply the best from the cricut wild card cartridge. I also added bling and you have to look close but I used that Ranger glass affects and went over the words, outlined the flowers, and also the pattern on the left ~ very blingy too!

This last card is made using some more rob and bob paper! Yeah! And the big printable stamps from the cutting cafe - see link on the right. Regina Easter has had some awesome sales lately and this one is very cool. I actually made 10 of these because they are for a thank you event at work for a project team. Each one will get one and they will be signed by the director, deputy director and myself. In these tough economic times it is the little things that we can do to make people feel valuable! The Thanks in the middle is from the cricut don juan cartridge.
