2 Sketches 4 You (Wedding Card) and some more Disney layouts

I used Kazan's sketch 45 from 2 Sketches 4 You to create a card for my friend Lisa to give her dear friends for their wedding. I was so flattered when Lisa asked me to make one of my "fancy cards" for Lauren and Glenn's wedding. Their colors are greens, blues, corals, seafoam, pastel oceany colors. I used DCWV Whimsey Stack for the papers because they were just this color. The heart is from the cricut gypsy font (digital) cartridge. I used these cool pearls I got from Yvonne Yam as a RAC (thanks Yvonne!). Lauren and Glenn are cut using the cricut songbird cartridge (I'm loving that cartridge). The photo corners are Quickutz (my old standbys!). The rest of the stuff is random things I had. It is very "collagy". I hope Lisa likes it!

Here are some more Disney layouts I've finished.
The first is Pluto (Pluto and the GRRR are cut using the cricut Mickey Font cartridge). The paper is basic gray.

I used the new cricut sentimentals cartridge to cut the crown and card. The Queen is cut using cricut blackletter. She was so funny!

We saw the white rabbit at Minnie's breakfast at the Plaza Inn. I used graphically speaking to do the "most important", base camp for A and I can't remember which cartridge I used for date (but it is cute and had a heart like the white rabbit). The clock was cut using the old west cricut cartridge.

It is always great to see Mickey and I used the Mickey font cricut cartridge to cut Mickey's head and Oh Boy! I had a lot of fun using black, white, red and yellow!
Hope everyone has a great weekend! I need to make a b-day card for my dad so need some inspiration!

Papertake Weekly #32 and some Disney Layouts

I've been having a great start to my 3-day weekend.

I have never done the papertake weekly challenge so I tried it this week. I did not make a card but instead a door hanger. It measures 8.5 X 8.5 inches. I used a combination of Design Orignals Love and Romance paper I've had in my stash with Basic Gray Sultry paper. I cut out the love birds and Love from the cricut gypsy font cartridge.

One of my layouts below was also based on this sketch!

I also worked some more on our Disney 8 X 8 books ~ I gave one book to each of my kids for Christmas that had the princesses and some other coordinating characters/rides and now I'm trying to finish up the other book. We were there for 5 days in the summer and there were just too many pictures for one book! And I love to do the 8 X 8 books because they get done faster (although this is taking awhile). I used creative imaginations paper on all of these layouts that I got at Michaels.

The Jessie and Woody stickers I bought at Scrapbook.com. All the die cuts on this layouts are from the cricut Old West cartridge.

The layout of Jessie with Carl is also based on the Papertake Weekly Sketch #32.

The two layouts with the round circles and ric rac were inspired by a "Woody" layout on scrapbook.com!

On the last 2 I used some gold "stickles" to bling them up!

It was kind of cool to get out all my star brads and stickles I've been hoarding and actually use them!

Thanks for stopping by! I'm off to do more creating!

Card Patterns #34 - Scrapbook Page instead of a Card!

I have been working on my Disney Books ~ We went in July and I love to get the books done and give them to the kids for Christmas.....means a lot of work between then and now!
When I saw Card Patterns sketch #34 and then looked at this cool picture with Minnie Mouse, I immediately wanted to do a layout. This is an 8 X 8 page with a 5 X 7 picture so there wasn't much room for more embellishing! I love how this turned out! It is one of my favorite pages of the book so far!

2 Sketches 4 You and some Disney Autograph Books

In my other post today, I gave all my reasons why I've been busy and not doing cards but as we approach the time school starts (after labor day), I will be getting back in more of a routine!

This week Kazan did the sketch and she also asked us to used inspiration. She used furniture but I used a necklace that had blues and browns in it (I had also seen a bedspread in a Penney's add but I had already recycled it). It is a cool color combo! I used one of the cutting cafe's printable calendar stamps on this. This card is for a man in my office. It turned out very muted but someone said, he is an understated man and it was perfect. I hope he likes it!

Here is the necklace! I have a blue and brown blouse I wear it with but couldn't figure out how to get it all in the picture!

We went to Disneyland in July and I made each of the kids 2 autograph books - one for the princess type characters and one for the others. They were nearly filled up so I'm glad I did them ~ there are 12 pages in each! We did have BBQ with Woody and Jessie from Toy Story, Breakfast with Minnie, and then Dinner with the princesses so that helped to fill them up!
I felt so great because some of the princesses commented on what cool books they were! And my kids said their mom made them! It made me feel great!

Thanks for looking! Have a great rest of the week!
