2 Sketches 4 You ~ Kazan's Sketch 29

I had some great fun with Kazan's Sketch #29 this week! I have several friends and family with late June and July birthdays! So I took my scraps and leftovers of Little Yellow Bicylce Zinnia collection (I made a cool frame for my mom for Mother's Day with it) and started cutting out elements for the cards! They all use a Technique Tuesday Birthday Stamp and the cake is from the Lyrical Letters Cartridge. The flourish ont he side and the circle and flower circle are both cut with a revolution cookie cutter die. I changed around the papers and the bling (there is lots of it!)
and changed the directions of the card! I came out with 4 similar but different cards so I had to share them all!

This was great fun!

Thanks Kazan for a great sketch this week!

Can't wait to see who moves forward in the Ultimate Card Contest!

Card*A*Licious 11!

Card*A*Licious 11 this week was to use a journaling card, orange, and green. I had purchased this journaling spiral and Cloe's closet paper from Making Memories at Michael's last week and it was just perfect to use for this challenge!. I actually made 2. On the first one, I even tried an accordian flower. Here is the tutorial: http://destampincorner.blogspot.com/2009/01/accordion-flower-tutorial.html
All the rest of the die cuts on the card are from quickutz (love you is a cookie cutter).

On the 2nd one I used technique tuesday stamps for "beautiful day". The flowers are primas but even the brads are from the cloe's closet line!
Hope everyone is having a great week! Tomorrow is friday!

2 Sketches 4 You ~ Week of 1/26/09

This is the last week for the current design team for 2 Sketches 4 You ~ soon there will be a new one. Rae got to do the bonus sketch and it was very cool! She consistently posted comments to everyone's cards all during her term on the design team. I'm going to miss her! I'll start off with showing you my card for her sketch!

I used the Making Memories Sabrina papers. I had seen someone else use them in a sketch and when I saw them at Michael's I had to have them (with a 50% off coupon they were even sweeter!). The stamp in the middle is a Teresa Collins stamp that I got at Scrapbook.com. The little cupid is a quickutz cookie cutter. The black rhinestones are Kaiser. There is a black mesh flower underneath the primas. Scrapperlicious.blogspot has some tips about mesh and I tried it on a card last weekend (see the post underneath this one) and it turned out very cool!

Here is Rae's Sketch!

It was Laura's turn to do the regular sketch and I chose to use Making Memories Sabrina again! I had gotten the cute little journaling cards that went with it and this one was shaped round so it worked very well for the sketch. The B and mine are technique tuesday stamps. The hat pin is also Making Memories but from the valentine paper. I've been wanting to try putting one in a card for awhile. Don't know if it is exactly how it is supposed to be! The heart is cut with the sizzix tipsy heart die and it is on pop dots so it stands out a bit. And here is Laura's Sketch 18:

Hopefully I will have more time to create this week, so stop by again!
