card patterns #52 - Retirement Card

A woman at work is retiring and she loves purses so I decided to do a non-traditional retirement card. I used paper from the DCWV Whimsy stack. Enjoy is cricut graphically speaking and the purse is from cricut paisley (it actually has more layers but I decided to "bling it out" a bit.
The pearls I got from Yvonne Yam in a RAC. Thanks Yvonne. This is the 2nd time I've used them. I made a really cool wedding card with them back at the first of February (with this same paper). Loving them!

Great News!!! I made the top 15 at Pink Elephant (TWICE!!!)!!!

I got it for Challenge #50 (Sketch) with the Get Well card for Lisa and Challenge #51 (Ribbon, Bow, Pink) for a Valentine Card. Very cool! I was just getting discouraged about never getting recognized for my work and now twice!!

2 Sketches 4 You ~ St. Pat's Day Door Hanger

I decided to make Kazan's sketch #46 into a St. Patty's Day door hanger. I got this really cool green sparkly paper at Michaels (My Mind's Eye, Home) and used that for all my pieces of patterned paper. The clover is from the cricut cartridge "indy art." I believe st. patrick's day is from the designer calendar cricut cartridge. The little leprechaun is a quickutz original (I'd actually cut a bunch of them out years ago and hadn't used them all ~ there are so many pieces I bet I wouldn't have had the patience today to do it anyway!).
Hope you are all having an enjoyable weekend! It is beautiful and sunny in Oregon!

Spring Door Hanger - Card Patterns #51

I used the Card Patterns sketch #51 to make a spring door hanger. The paper is all K and Company. Welcome, Spring, and the flower were cut with the cricut. The butterfly is a revolution 3-D die.

2 Sketches 4 You (Wedding Card) and some more Disney layouts

I used Kazan's sketch 45 from 2 Sketches 4 You to create a card for my friend Lisa to give her dear friends for their wedding. I was so flattered when Lisa asked me to make one of my "fancy cards" for Lauren and Glenn's wedding. Their colors are greens, blues, corals, seafoam, pastel oceany colors. I used DCWV Whimsey Stack for the papers because they were just this color. The heart is from the cricut gypsy font (digital) cartridge. I used these cool pearls I got from Yvonne Yam as a RAC (thanks Yvonne!). Lauren and Glenn are cut using the cricut songbird cartridge (I'm loving that cartridge). The photo corners are Quickutz (my old standbys!). The rest of the stuff is random things I had. It is very "collagy". I hope Lisa likes it!

Here are some more Disney layouts I've finished.
The first is Pluto (Pluto and the GRRR are cut using the cricut Mickey Font cartridge). The paper is basic gray.

I used the new cricut sentimentals cartridge to cut the crown and card. The Queen is cut using cricut blackletter. She was so funny!

We saw the white rabbit at Minnie's breakfast at the Plaza Inn. I used graphically speaking to do the "most important", base camp for A and I can't remember which cartridge I used for date (but it is cute and had a heart like the white rabbit). The clock was cut using the old west cricut cartridge.

It is always great to see Mickey and I used the Mickey font cricut cartridge to cut Mickey's head and Oh Boy! I had a lot of fun using black, white, red and yellow!
Hope everyone has a great weekend! I need to make a b-day card for my dad so need some inspiration!
